New AI Technology Helping Mosquito Control

Seminole County Mosquito Control has a new tool helping the team work more efficiently. Using AI technology, with results verified by trained staff, the tool identifies mosquitoes faster. Knowing which species are present helps staff understand potential risks, pinpoint where they may be coming from and make science-based treatment decisions.
Residents can help too by draining standing water and wearing mosquito repellent. For additional help, Seminole County Mosquito Control offers service calls to identify potential breeding sites and provide treatment when needed at SeminoleCountyFL.gov/Mosquito.
